Why is there ethanol in the Micro Mist Oral Sleep spray?
A small amount of ethanol is required to enable the melatonin to be suspended in solution.
Ethanol, also called alcohol, is a clear, colorless liquid and the principle ingredient in alcoholic beverages like beer, wine or brandy. Because it can readily dissolve in water and other organic compounds, ethanol also is an ingredient in a range of products including personal care and beauty products.
How do I know that Joiya products are safe?
We always encourage every prospective customer to do her research. This includes consulting your physician, speaking with your Joiya Ambassador, and speaking with one of our knowledgeable Joi Squad members. We also pay a 3rd party company to test all of the raw ingredients in our products to ensure that they are free of any potentially harmful substances that could have been contracted during the farming process. We also test our products a second time in the final stage of production and before packaging. This ensures that our custom formulation didn't contract any other substance during the manufacturing process. Every product has a batch code printed on the vessel that can be matched to a batch code found under the product information on our website. To ensure full transparency of all test results, please refer to the Certificate of Analysis on each product page.

We always recommend discussing any medication concerns with your physician.
How much should I take? Is there a recommended amount?
Joiya includes instructions on use for every product. However, everyone is different. It is recommended to start slow with a small amount and see how you feel. You can always increase as you see fit to feel the expected benefits. We highly recommend to stay consistent in taking your product for 30 days to get the maximum effectiveness.
What are the benefits of using CBD?
CBD helps to regulate our endocannabinoid system which helps to regulate many of the other biological systems in our bodies, including the nervous system and immune system. When using CBD you will likely feel a calm sense of focus. It will help to give you relief from daily stresses. CBD will also help in the recovery from exercise induced inflammation and support a healthy sleep cycle. With the recent legalization of the cultivation and sale of hemp at the federal level, studies on the benefits of CBD are expected to dramatically increase in the coming years.
How does the same product (ie, tinctures) relax me right before bed, but NOT make me sleepy during the day?
CBD is considered to be an adaptogen. Adaptogens are natural substances considered to help the body adapt to stress and to exert a normalizing effect upon bodily processes. CBD taken in moderate doses does not typically make people tired when it is taken in the morning. Instead, CBD seems to relax the mind and help people focus throughout the day. CBD’s ability to help with sleep at night might be more due to the fact that CBD helps relax the mind and soothe the body making it easier to fall and stay asleep.
Can I use CBD with my pets?
Yes, CBD works the same in all mammals. The endocannabinoid systems are within us all. Joiya has a pet product that is popular with canine and feline owners. Ask your veterinarian if it could be good for your specific pet.
CBD & CANNABINOIDS
What does a THC Free product mean?
Joiya defines “THC Free” as a product that contains undetectable amounts of delta-9 THC according to independent, third party lab tests. This amount is usually under 10 ppm and can be confirmed on each product’s Certificate of Analysis (COA).
*THC Free is defined as a product that contains undetectable amounts of delta-9 THC according to independent, third party lab tests.
Can I fail a drug test if I use your products?
Our Full-Spectrum products can contain up to 0.3% Delta-9 THC (in accordance with federal regulations) so there is a possibility that you could fail a drug test if you consume these products.
We have THC Free* products that utilize broad-spectrum hemp oil as well as cannabinoid isolates. These products contain undetectable amounts of delta-9 THC according to independent third party lab tests. Unfortunately, there have been some cases where people have claimed to have only taken THC Free products and still failed a drug test (not Joiya’s products).
There is insufficient research as to why this occurs (speculation is that the source of CBD and/or its testing was not truthful).
Therefore, if you are concerned about failing a drug test, please consult your healthcare practitioner, drug screening/testing company or employer prior to consuming our products.
There are CBD/THC ratio tests that can be performed to validate that the trace amount of delta-9 THC that could lead to a failed drug test is the result of CBD product use and not illicit drug use. We recommend you discuss this with your employer ahead of time to avoid any issues.
Will CBD make me feel “high”?
No. CBD is non-psychoactive. There are only trace amounts of THC in Joiya’s full spectrum hemp extract. By law, there can only be trace amounts (.03%) of THC. The majority of Joiya’s products are THC free.
What is the difference between the hemp plant and marijuana plant?
The hemp plant has been engineered to be high in CBD with only trace amounts of THC. Marijuana is engineered to be high in THC and lower in CBD. Both carry many of the same compounds but the hemp derived CBD extract does not have psychoactive properties. By law, hemp products can only be sold with less than 0.3% THC.
What is the difference between “Full Spectrum” and “Broad Spectrum”?
Our Full Spectrum Hemp Extract uses the whole flower and has the full array of cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids including trace amounts of THC (up to .03%).
Broad Spectrum is further refined to remove THC to undetectable levels and will still provide a broader range of cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids compared to pure CBD isolate.
Broad Spectrum is further refined to remove THC to undetectable levels and will still provide a broader range of cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids compared to pure CBD isolate.
Are there any risks or side effects associated with CBD?
According to the World Health Organization, “CBD is generally well tolerated, with a good safety profile." It also states that CBD in humans exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential. And lastly, WHO also confirms there is no evidence of public health-related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.
What are Delta-8 & Delta 9 THC?
Did you know that delta-9 THC, the compound commonly known simply as “THC” is not the only THC compound found in the cannabis plant? There are at least 5 other THC varieties (isomers) that have been identified in the cannabis plant today. One of those, delta-8 THC, is found at a much smaller percentage than delta-9 THC. Delta-8 and delta-9 THC differ by the location of the double bond within the molecule. This means that the molecules have the same chemical makeup, but how they are put together is different – and this causes a big difference in how the molecule interacts with our body’s own endocannabinoid system. The psychotropic effects are significantly lower for delta-8 THC than for delta-9 THC.
